MCM Comic Con, the company that hosts multiple comic conventions across the UK was acquired today by US company ReedPop.
For us Star Wars fans, ReedPop should sound familiar as it is the company that runs Star Wars Celebration but is also the owner of huge conventions such as New York Comic Con and C2E2.
MCM Comic Con currently hosts events in cities such as London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Belfast and will join the Reed Pop portfolio of events for the rest of 2017 and beyond.
Founded in 2002, MCM Comic Con had its first show in London “London Expo” , then become known as MCM Expo further growing to the company it is today.
MCM co-founder Bryan Cooney say that ‘Today, all my wishes are granted. I look forward to launching MCM into a higher orbit of popular culture’s created shows alongside ReedPop.”
